Clovercroft Publishing has announced that Proud to Be an American by singer Lee Greenwood debuted at No. 1 on Amazon's Movers and Shakers List, New Release List and in numerous Children's Book categories. With accompanying illustrations by Amanda Sekulow, the book which was released Memorial Day, uses the words of Greenwood's iconic song "God Bless the USA" to teach kids about America and how to be proud of their country. "God Bless the USA" is the only song ever to be on the Billboard Top 100 list three times. The book offers a free download of the song with purchase. "Lee wanted to write a book that would help parents and grandparents teach their children how great it was to be an American," said Larry Carpenter, president and publisher for Clovercroft Publishing. "It dawned on us that the perfect way to do that was by using the words of Greenwood's iconic song. We are proud to be associated with this project." Greenwood was in New York City to launch the book last week, signing at the BookExpo America trade show and making the rounds with the media. |
