“Ignatius Press recognizes the urgent need to help Catholic stores compete in the wider retail marketplace,” said Anthony Ryan, marketing director at Ignatius. “Physical retail stores are vital to the free exchange of Catholic ideas.” Participating vendors are offering discounts up to 70 percent with some even offering special products free of charge. Along with Catholic Word and Ignatius Press, vendors include Word on Fire, Ave Maria Press, Chastity Project and many more. "We did not know how many stores and suppliers would participate in this first effort," said Terese Dutscheck of Catholic Word Publisher Group, “We are very happy with the positive response we have gotten so far.” Organizers plan a radio advertising campaign along with direct-to-consumer outreach to publicize the monthlong event. |
