Kerusso licenses 'War Room' products |

Kerusso has announced the product line of officially licensed merchandise for the Kendrick Brothers’ latest film, War Room, which releases Aug. 28 from Sony Pictures Entertainment’s TriStar Pictures. Based on the film's tagline, "Prayer Is a Powerful Weapon," the Kerusso line features three T-shirts, two caps, a mug and "prayer pads." “The challenge of providing officially licensed merchandise is that the products should complement the film while allowing us to stay true to our mission,” said Vic Kennett, CEO and founder of Kerusso. “Any time we can work with the Kendrick Brothers is a true blessing because their films are powerful and change lives—and it is important to us that we make our products just as impactful.” Kerusso has produced two ladies’ T-shirts and one men’s tee. All of the shirts are designed in typical bold Kerusso fashion, accompanied with supporting Bible verses reinforcing the message of the power of prayer. There are also caps for men and women aimed at accessorizing with the T-shirts. Additionally, Kerusso is offering a ceramic mug and prayer pads (sticky notes). The mug is derived from a particular scene in the film in which hot coffee is used as an analogy to prayer, while the pads draw inspiration from the film’s "war room" that is adorned with prayers and notes adhered to the walls. “The film is very moving,” said Kennett. “After our private screening, everyone at Kerusso was moved to make products that really drive home the fact that prayer is indeed a powerful weapon. I am proud of our product development and creative teams for capturing that sentiment.” The new products ship Aug. 17 and can be seen at kerusso.com/warroom, or next week at the International Christian Retail Show in Orlando, Florida; the Dallas Gift Market in late June and at AmericasMart Atlanta in early July. War Room is the third Kendrick film for which Kerusso has produced officially licensed products. |
