Christian Product Expo (CPE) returns Sept. 20-22 to “encourage, equip and engage” independent Christian retailers and vendors from across the country. Events include workshops, author meetings, concerts featuring popular Christian music artists and pre-screenings of upcoming films. “By attending CPE, independent retailers can be encouraged, as well as equipped with new ideas from great training, so that they can be better engaged with suppliers and their communities,” said Kirk Blank, president of the Munce Group, which hosts the show. Retailers are invited to participate in training sessions on blogging, improving author relations, social media use and product trends. Tyndale House Publishers' Hayden Shaw will offer a Monday morning workshop about multigenerational selling. In addition, new and seasoned retailers who come early Sunday can take part in the “Retail Refresh Boot Camp.” Following the training Sunday, retailers are invited to meet and build relationships with authors at the Personality Party event. Sunday will also feature a dinner with Samaritan’s Purse, a pre-screening of the movie Risen and the Night of Worship featuring David Ring and All Sons & Daughters. Special guests at this year’s CPE include TaRanda Greene and Big Daddy Weave, who will be performing at the Monday evening Banquet and Showcase. There will also be a Monday night pre-screening of the upcoming sports movie Woodlawn. On Tuesday, Randy Frazee (Think, Act, Be Like Jesus) will provide a morning devotion before any last-minute order writing. CPE will be held at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Show floor hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday. The floor will open at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and will close at noon with a cash-prize drawing. Retailers who pre-register by Sept. 3 are eligible for potential reimbursement incentives based on the number of orders placed at the show. |
