Josh Wilson celebrated his highest street week debut in his nine-year career last week with the recent release of That Was Then, This Is Now (Sparrow Records/Capitol CMG). The album landed in the top five on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. The album also represents his first-ever debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart, selling more than 25 percent over his last album’s street sales. With the release of this album, Wilson said he felt more resolute in his mission. “I think there is confidence in knowing this is my calling, but there’s also humility in knowing that my talents are on loan,” Wilson said. “I am stewarding this gift of music. I feel a renewed sense of purpose.” Wilson spent the weeks prior to the album’s debut promoting his title track single with radio stops across the country. He also promoted the new album with stations such as KLTY, KSBJ and KXOJ. The debut radio single and title track from the project is climbing radio charts at AC Indicator (No. 3), Top 10 at AC Monitored and the National Christian Audience chart (No. 12) with 5.8 million total audience impressions. |
