New York Times best-selling author Randy Alcorn will host a free webcast Sept. 30 at 2:30 p.m. EST, followed by a live Twitter chat on the subject of his upcoming book, Happiness (Tyndale House Publishers). In the webcast, Alcorn will share some of the findings that led him to write Happiness, the most extensive treatment of the subject to date following years of research. Contrary to claims that true happiness can only be experienced in heaven, Alcorn demonstrates that God promises us happiness in the here and now. Known for his 2004 book Heaven (Tyndale), Alcorn intends to address common questions related to happiness, including whether God is happy, whether Christians are supposed to experience happiness on earth and the difference between joy, happiness and the prosperity gospel. Webcast registration is open at happinessandheaven.com. Following the webcast, viewers may submit questions for the live Twitter chat using the hashtag #happinessandheaven. Happiness releases in hardcover, audio and e-book editions Oct. 6. |
