M2T (Made to Thrive) Records launched earlier this month and announced Monday the signing of the label's first artist, Hannah Kerr. M2T Records was created by Casting Crowns’ Mark Hall, veteran producer Mark Miller and music industry executive Gordon Kerr. The label is an imprint under Black River Entertainment and is distributed through Provident Label Group (Provident Distribution). “M2T Records is committed to spreading the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through artists who are committed to ministry through music,” Miller said. The label officially entered into the Christian music world earlier this month at the Christian Music Broadcasters Momentum (CMB) Conference in Orlando, Florida. Hall stopped during the Casting Crowns performance to bring Kerr on stage, where she performed her debut M2T Records single, “I Stand Here." Hall has high hopes for Kerr. “Hannah represents everything that Casting Crowns is about,” said Hall. “She is both a product of and a true leader in the local church. I can’t wait for the world to hear her.” Kerr shared the mission of her artistry. “Whether it’s country or Christian or pop, the motive is to leave this world better than you found it,” she said. A recent Billboard article revealed Kerr’s debut EP will be released this fall. “I Stand Here” began impacting radio Monday and is digitally available at iTunes. Beginning Oct. 15, Kerr will join Matt Maher and kick off The Saints & Sinners Tour in Pittsburgh along with Jon Guerra and I Am They. |
