Sandi Patty announced she is telling the world “farewell and thank you” with a final album and tour. The announcement was made Monday on the Today Show. “What a privilege it has been to share my story and faith through song for so many years,” said Patty. “My heart is full of gratitude for so many who have been along this journey with me. I could never have imagined my career taking me to so many amazing places and meeting so many people who have changed my life forever … . My desire is to use this next season and the Forever Grateful tour as an opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to as many people as possible!” The Forever Grateful World Tour will begin February 2016 and run throughout the year. In addition to the Forever Grateful tour, Sandi will release a new album, Forever Grateful, in early 2016. The album will feature new songs co-written by Michael W. Smith and Nichole Nordeman, among others. Patty is the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music. She has been awarded five Grammys, four Billboard Music Awards, three platinum records, five gold records and over 40 Dove awards. She has sold over 12 million units. |
