Standard Publishing continues to reap the success of its Standard Lesson Commentary, the nation's best-selling annual Bible commentary. The 2015-2016 King James Version (KJV) edition topped CBA’s best-selling books list. The 2015-2016 KJV Large Print Standard Lesson Commentary followed closely at No. 3, along with the 2015-2016 New International Version (NIV) edition at No. 13 and the 2015-2016 NIV Large Print commentary at No. 21. The list is based on sales in U.S. Christian retail stores through Aug. 31. The KJV Standard Lesson Commentary has appeared on the CBA best-sellers list upon its release each year for over 25 years. Lindsay Black, associate publisher at Standard Publishing, commented on the success. "We are excited and honored that our commentary has topped the best sellers list again," Black said. "We appreciate our loyal customers as well as those who are newly engaged, and we look forward to continuing to expand biblical literacy with the in-depth look at the Word that our commentary provides." Jacqueline Baptiste, a Bible study leader from Virginia, commented on the value of the commentary in her church's adult studies. "I believe our discussions are richer, more relevant for today's issues of life and more memorable when we use Standard Lesson Commentary," Baptiste said. Standard Lesson Commentary is available in multiple formats—casebound, paperback, deluxe and large print—and in KJV, NIV and English Standard Version (ESV) editions, as well as in the Standard Lesson Quarterly format. |
