B&H Kids announced Friday two new translations for its best-selling The Big Picture Interactive Bible Storybook. The Spanish and Portuguese translations of the Bible storybook will release this month. All three editions—English, Spanish and Portuguese—utilize an augmented reality app. Parents with Apple or Android devices can scan icons in the storybook to enable digital pop-ups. The image pops to life on the device with appropriate language narration from the Bible story. Dan Lynch, publisher for B&H Kids, was excited about this initiative. “B&H Kids desires to share the gospel message around the world, and we're excited to see this best-selling Bible storybook branching out into new languages,” Lynch said. “The app is groundbreaking and helps parents get their kids excited about Bible stories in a fresh, new way.” The Spanish edition will be published under the B&H Niños imprint, while the Portuguese edition will be published in partnership by Bíblia Infantil BV Books RA. Craig Featherstone, vice president of LifeWay Global, said LifeWay is being strategic with its products for multicultural, technologically savvy families. “LifeWay Global is committed to providing kids with timeless truth and innovative technology,” Featherstone said. “The Big Picture Interactive Storybook Bible is an ideal marriage of both.” The title became the No. 1 children’s Bible on the CBA best-sellers list in December 2014, according to B&H Kids. |
