Tyndale House Publishers purchased the publication rights and existing inventory for the book What the Bible Is All About from Ventura, California-based Gospel Light. The book rights were purchased through Gospel Light’s bankruptcy auction Oct. 27. Tyndale House also acquired the rights to several ancillary books related to What the Bible Is All About. Mark Taylor, president and CEO of Tyndale House, commented on the acquisition. “What the Bible is All About is a very successful product that was first published in 1953,” said Taylor. “But Gospel Light has been out of stock in the main book for at least several months, so Tyndale is eager to get it back in print under our imprint name as fast as we can. We believe bookstores and distributors across the country will be pleased to hear that this mainstay in their Bible reference departments will once again be available for their customers.” Gospel Light voluntarily filed for bankruptcy in August. The company’s curriculum resources were purchased at the same auction by David C Cook. |
