Zondervan announced Thursday that Londa Alderink has been hired as the new vice president of marketing for Zonderkidz and Blink YA. Zonderkidz is the children’s division for Zondervan, and Blink is a young adult imprint operating within the division. Alderink has been with the Zondervan publishing group for eight years, most recently as a senior marketing director for Zondervan’s nonfiction trade team. She has led very successful marketing campaigns for the New York Times best-selling titles Hands Free Mama by Rachel Macy Stafford, Keep It Shut by Karen Ehman, Wrestling for My Life by Shawn Michaels and The Daniel Plan by Dr. Rick Warren, Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Daniel Amen. Alderink joins Zonderkidz and Blink with an understanding of its products, authors and publishing philosophy. In her new role, Alderink will lead the Zonderkidz marketing enterprise, set strategic goals and be responsible for the execution of marketing and publicity plans that support Zonderkidz and Blink resources. She will ensure the group’s corporate objectives are met by providing oversight for promotional tactics and activities, while also nurturing relationships across the organization as well as with authors, illustrators, agents and other key stakeholders. Annette Bourland, group publisher and senior vice president at Zonderkidz, commented on Alderink’s hiring. “I am so excited to welcome Londa to the Zonderkidz and Blink YA team,” said Bourland. “Londa’s hard work and focus over the years on behalf of Zondervan is commendable. She has come full circle to apply her expertise and creative thinking to our team’s strategies. We anticipate a successful and smooth transition heading into 2016.” Alderink will be fully transitioned into her new role by Feb. 29. |
