HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP) announced Monday the recent promotion of Damon Reiss to director of Bible sales. In his new role, Reiss will seek to create synergies across the sales channels and increase the company’s focus on Bible sales. He will also act as a liaison between the multiple Bible sales channels and the HCCP Bible groups. Reiss was hired by Zondervan in 2003 as an inside sales rep and moved into field sales, where he remained for three years. In 2006, Thomas Nelson hired him as a field rep and then he moved into various key account managing roles. When Zondervan and Thomas Nelson integrated in 2012, Reiss was tasked with selling all Bible translations for HCCP. Reiss is now responsible for all Bible sales in the CBA, custom and Biblica sales channels. Although other internal sales channels will continue ownership of their Bible business, Reiss will use his leadership and experience to influence Bible sales through all channels. |
