“The Logos managers nominate the books they think are the best of the year,” she told Christian Retailing. “We compile a list and then a ballot goes out, and the winners are chosen from that. So all the stores have input. “We want to encourage publishers to write thoughtful, life-changing books, and there are lots of them. These are some of our favorites.” The 2019 book awards went to: Loved by Sally Lloyd-Jones, Zonderkidz (Children’s Picture Books); Teach Us to Pray by Gordon T. Smith, IVP (Christian Living); Last Call for Liberty by Os Guinness, IVP (Christianity/Culture); Life Without Lack by Dallas WIllard, Thomas Nelson (Spirituality/Devotional); What If It’s True? by Charles Martin, Thomas Nelson (Theology/Doctrine/Reference); and Becoming Mrs. Lewis by Patti Callahan, Thomas Nelson (Fiction). Gorczyca presented the awards to the publishers at their exhibits on the CPE show floor. |
