Sunday, 31 October 2004 07:00 PM America/New_York |
The Passion of The Christ was named film of the year for 2004 at the fifth annual Christian What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Film Festival. The festival, recently held in San Francisco, was a gathering spot for Christian filmmakers worldwide who are riding the wave of renewed interest in biblical themes that Mel Gibson's movie has helped facilitate within the Hollywood community. "In what will surely be a season of multiple awards and recognition for The Passion of The Christ, WYSIWYG is the first Christian film festival to bestow honors on the film," said Holly McClure, executive producer for The Making of The Passion of The Christ.
