Innovative Inc.'s Signature Websites venture reported more than 4 million visits to its Christian retail Web sites and 1.6 million retailer opt-in e-mail promotions this Christmas season. Online sales for all Signature Websites' retailers in the fourth quarter of 2005 continued to climb, with a 74% increase over the same period the previous year. Customer music sampling and music sales also increased, with the addition of music samples that brought the total to more than 140,000 song samples. Online gift certificates were a new feature, providing consumers a way to send gifts from their favorite retailer via e-mail. More than 400 Christian retail stores promoted their location via e-mail marketing and online this past holiday season, providing contact information, holiday shopping hours, directions to the store, plus in-store sales and event information.
Retailers reported e-mail in-store coupon redemption rates 70% higher for 2005 than 2004, said Jay Langston, director of online sales and marketing at Innovative.
