'End of the Spear' debuts at No. 8 at the box office Print Email

Every Tribe Entertainment's End of the Spear, a film about five martyred missionaries, debuted at No. 8 at theaters this weekend, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com. Showing at 1,163 theaters, the movie brought in $4.7 million and averaged $4,051 per screen-more per screen than the No. 2 movie Hoodwinked, which features the voice of Christian singer/songwriter/producer Benjy Gaither.

End of the Spear fell just below The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which released seven weeks ago and has brought in $271.7 million so far.

Licensed products for End of the Spear are available through Christian suppliers, including the soundtrack (Word), apparel and jewelry (Kerusso) and home-décor products (Carpentree) and the book End of the Spear by Steve Saint (SaltRiver/Tyndale).
