Christian Focus Publications Ltd. (CFP) of Scotland has announced a three-year contract agreement with Send the Light Inc. (STL Inc.) of Waynesboro, Ga., to distribute its books in the U.S. The agreement will commence in March.

Send the Light is an international leader in the distribution of Christian products, having recently increased its U.S. presence with the purchase of Appalachian Distributors. CFP's books will still be available through Appalachian under this agreement.

Christian Focus Publication saw 58% sales growth in the CBA market in 2005 over 2004.

“So far, (CFP's) growth in the U.S. has been primarily through independent stores, and there has been some frustration from chains, general bookstores, churches, organizations and individuals about their ability to get ahold of our books,” said CFP General Manager Ian Thompson.

“We need a partner who really knows what they are doing in the field of contract distribution, and we have known the people at STL for many years in the U.K. and the U.S. We like their missionary heart and professionalism. We see this partnership as one of the cornerstones … in the continued expansion of our American sales. Through this agreement, we aim to start meeting (the) demand for our books, 50% of which are now by U.S. authors.”
