SafeBrowse, creator of Safe Eyes 2006 parental-control software, announced that Safe Eyes 2006 has received PC Magazine's Editor's Choice Award, the publication's highest honor. PC Magazine cited Safe Eyes as “The Ultimate Parental Control App” for “the modern multi-computer family.” The software allows parents to control their child's access to the Web and Internet-based programs, as well as time spent online; monitors instant messaging, alerting parents when a child wanders into inappropriate content; and also offers features such as a pop-up blocker, usage control and time alerts. “We founded SafeBrowse in 1999 to provide Internet protection for families, introduced the first version of Safe Eyes in 2003 and have continued to upgrade our product to ensure its safety and effectiveness,” said Shane Kenny, president of SafeBrowse. “We're proud that Safe Eyes has received this important distinction at a time when more and more parents recognize the need for installing filtering software on their home computers.” |
