WestBow Press, the fiction division of Thomas Nelson Publishers, will release Man in White, a novel by music legend Johnny Cash, first published 20 years ago, dealing with the apostle Paul.

The July release will contain a new introduction by Billy Graham. The novel explores the life of the apostle Paul, and compares and contrasts his life with Cash's.

When WestBow Acquisitions Editor Ami McConnell heard that Cash had written a novel she tracked down a copy of the out-of-print title first published in 1987 by HarperSanFrancisco, and decided she “had to bring this work back into print for a new generation of fans,” WestBow said in a statement.

“Cash obtained a seminary degree and spent the better part of a decade researching and writing this novel about the apostle Paul,” McConnell said. “Billy Graham said from the pulpit that it was the best book on Paul he'd ever read. For me, Man in White testifies to Cash's artistic intensity and to his desire to unpack the meaning of the New Testament Scriptures. It's an amazing book.”
