Whitaker House author, the Rev. Lamont D. McLean, died Saturday of complications from bone marrow disease. He was 52.

Funeral services will be held Friday at the church he founded, the Living Faith Christian Center in Pennsauken, N.J., a nondenominational multicultural church of nearly 8,000 members.

McLean's first book with Whitaker, Opening the Door to Your Future, is due to be released in September.

He is survived by his wife and co-pastor, Constance McLean, and their two daughters, Alexis and Erica.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Living Faith Christian Academy. Contributions and expressions of condolence may be sent to in care of Living Faith Christian Center, 2323 Route 73, Pennsauken, NJ 08110.
