Zondervan has launched a new Web site that offers consumers customizable, downloadable digital content. Ezondervan (www.eZondervan.com) features the publisher's products in new digital formats, company officials said. Online customers can choose between downloading products or burning them onto a CD, which will then be mailed to them. Scott Bolinder, executive vice president and publisher at Zondervan, said the company recognizes "that technology has always influenced (the) primary relationship between an author and reader. In today's world, people access authors' content via a myriad of formats and channels." Zondervan is launching the site in two phases. The first phase makes a number of products available, including ministry resources, reference titles, Bible translations and inspirational books. EZondervan is powered by Pradis, the Bible study and reference software developed by Zondervan, company officials said. Other digital resources will be added on a monthly basis, including audio, video, e-Books and online Bible-study subscriptions. Phase two includes a retailer program, which is currently in development. "Our goal is to engage consumers by providing products that meet their needs in the places and formats they want as well as to equip retailers to succeed in the digital world," Bolinder said. |
