Crossway launches ESV Bible iPhone site Print Email

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of its online ESV Bible, Crossway Bibles has launched a free Web site optimized for the new Apple iPhone (www.esv.org/mobile). The Web site offers the complete, searchable text of the ESV Bible and daily Scripture readings, company officials said.

A Crossway partner has also developed an ESV iPhone application. AcroDesign Technologies launched iBibleSpace (), which offers the complete ESV Bible text, plus a daily Bible verse and several podcasts.

"Apple's iPhone revolutionizes the mobile phone market, and we want the ESV to be at the forefront of that revolution," said Geoffrey Dennis, Crossway's vice president of sales and marketing. "... We want people to be able to access the ESV wherever, whenever, and however they want to."

The ESV Bible Web site ( receives more than 100,000 unique visitors a month, up from 1,000 monthly visitors when it launched in July 2002, company officials said.
