Genius Products 'solidifying' Christian market |

Genius Products Inc. has reported record revenue for the three months ending June 30, with the company posting revenue growth of 36% over the prior quarter. The upbeat financial report highlighted the company's recent agreement with EMI CMG Distribution to become the distributor of Genius Products' offerings in the Christian retail market starting in the third quarter of this year. "During this quarter, we further expanded our distribution capabilities and content offerings through many new relationships, including our exclusive distribution agreement with EMI's Christian retail channel, solidifying our foundation in the faith-based market," said Stephen Bannon, chairman of Genius Products. Genius Products' new titles will include theatrical releases, direct-to-DVD movies, animated children's programming and live-action family films. Its highest-profile faith-based releases will be The Penny, co-authored by Joyce Meyer and Deborah Bedford and The Christmas Candle by Max Lucado. Genius Products is known for a number of well-known brands, including Baby Genius, and The Weinstein Company. |
