Liberty University has chosen the Switched-On Schoolhouse curriculum for grades 3-12 as a part of its distance-learning program.

The Alpha Omega Publications curriculum covers five core subjects and a variety of electives and uses multimedia in its lessons. The online courses will start in September.

"We intend to provide Christian education, fully accredited, to students across all 50 states and the world," said Ron Goodwin, Liberty University's executive vice president.

The university's distance learning program currently has 19,000 students.
