Zondervan has announced the hiring of Dudley Delffs to the position of vice president and publisher of its trade book group. Before joining Zondervan, Delffs served as vice president and editor in chief for The Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group, where he managed more than a dozen editors, helped acquire best-selling authors, including Amy Grant, Shaunti Feldhahn and Randy Alcorn, and created and implemented strategic programs for two imprints. In his new role at Zondervan, Delffs will be responsible for management of the editorial trade book group, which acquires and develops approximately 100 titles each year, company officials said. Scott Bolinder, executive vice president and publisher, cited Delffs' "caliber, experience and passion for Christian publishing." He said Delffs "will be a tremendous asset to our trade book group and add significant value." |
