Longtime distributor representative Karen Bilbrey, well known to Christian retail stores across the country, is recovering from injuries sustained in a serious car accident.

Bilbrey was taken to the hospital in Louisville, Ky., Thursday after suffering a broken ankle and ribs in the crash. Bilbrey works from her home as director of new store development for STL Distribution North America (STLD). She joined the company, based in Johnson City, Tenn., after many years working for Spring Arbor.

Rick Regenfuss, STLD's vice president of sales, said that Bilbrey was due to be released from the hospital today, but according to her husband, Mark Bilbrey, faces further surgeries.
