Fireproof movie-making brothers Alex and Stephen Kendrick together with novelist Karen Kingsbury have finally dislodged debut author William P. Young from the top of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) monthly best-seller list. The Kendricks' The Love Dare (B&H Books/B&H Publishing), a marriage manual, heads the ECPA's just released November Top 50 titles list. Kinsgbury's Sunset (Tyndale House Publishers) is next, ahead of Young's The Shack (Windblown Media/Hachette Book Group USA). Rounding out the top 10 are: 4. Sarah by Kaylene Johnson (Tyndale House Publishers); 5. The Longing by Beverly Lewis (Bethany House/Baker Publishing Group); 6. What in the World Is Going On? by David Jeremiah (Thomas Nelson); 7. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman (Northfield Publishing); 8. Boundaries by Henry Cloud and John Townsend (Zondervan); 9. Love & Respect by Emerson Eggerichs (Thomas Nelson); and 10. Jessie by Lori Wick (Harvest House Publishers). The leading Bibles this month are: 1. Text Bible-NKJV (Thomas Nelson); 2. Outreach New Testament-ESV (Crossway Books & Bibles); 3. Operation Worship Bible NLT (Tyndale House Publishers); 4. Witness Edition Bible-NIV (Zondervan); 5. The Adventure Bible (hardcover) (Zonderkidz/Zondervan); 6. NLT Study Bible (hardcover) (Tyndale House Publishers); 7. Archaeological Study Bible, NIV (Zondervan), 8. Gift and Award Bible (KJV) black leatherflex (Thomas Nelson); 9. 10. Finding God-New Testament, NIV (Zondervan); and 10. Gift and Award Bible (KJV) red leatherflex (Thomas Nelson). The ECPA lists are drawn from Christian retail stores across the country, through its PubTrack Christian data system. Book lists are based on trade discounted titles selling in at least 20% of reporting stores. Tracts and booklets are excluded.
