Writer, producer and singer William "Smokey" Robinson and Chick-fil-A founder and chairman Truett Cathy are scheduled to present at Christian Retailing's Retailers Choice Awards at CBA in Atlanta next week. Robinson accumulated more than two dozen top 40 hits with the Miracles and helped write and produce some of Motown's most popular songs. Robinson recently released a new album of spiritual songs titled Food for the Spirit (Liquid 8). Cathy, also founder of 13 foster homes and a summer camp for kids, has written another book, It's Better to Build Boys than Mend Men (Redleaf Press), which will release in September. Author and singer/songwriter Kelly Minter is scheduled to headline the event, with Martha Munizzi, Myrrh and Katie Giguere also performing. In the June 22 issue of Christian Retailing, it was announced that Third Day and Casting Crowns were scheduled to perform. Due to prior commitments, both bands are unable to perform this year.
