PUBLISHERS RECEIVE AWARD FROM 'FOREWORD' |

Books from three CBA publishers recently received 2003 Book of the Year awards from ForeWord Magazine. Bethany House was honored with three awards: If I Gained the World by Linda Nichols (Romance: Gold Award); The Light of Eidon by Karen Hancock (Science Fiction: Silver Award); and Finding Favor With the King by Tommy Tenney (Audio Nonfiction: Bronze Award). NavPress received two-City of Dreams by Stephen Lawhead (Fiction Religious: Gold Award) and Hero by Stephen and Rose Lawhead (Graphic Novel: Bronze Award)-and its imprint Piñon Press received one-An Unexpected Joy by Dr. Mary Sharp (Parenting: Gold Award). W Publishing's The Canopy by Angela Hunt took the Silver Award in the Fiction Religious category. The awards were established to bring increased attention from librarians and booksellers to the literary achievements of independent publishers and their authors.
