Kosmos Records has announced the signing of Melissa Greene and rock band The Myriad as the label's first artists.

Kosmos will ship the first single from Greene, a five-year member of the vocal group Avalon, this fall, with her debut album releasing in the first quarter of 2008. The label will release The Myriad's new album this fall.

Kosmos also announced distribution deals with Floodgate Records and Martingale Music. Kosmos is the new Christian music division of New York City's KOCH Records. All Kosmos products will be available through KOCH Distribution, company officials said.

Bob Frank, president of KOCH Records, a label for independent artists, said Kosmos President Barry Landis "has done a great job of getting us positioned right where we want to be for this fall. New artists, new distribution deals-these are the lifeblood of any great music company and I'm excited about all the artists and products we are about to release."
