Rush of Fools lauded with new accolades |

Midas Records progressive worship band Rush of Fools ends a banner year with new accolades. The band was named Best New Artist in CCM magazine's Readers' Choice Awards, (January 2008 issue), Best New Artist in the ChristianityToday.com Readers' Choice Christian Music Awards (announced Dec. 3) and one of the Top 100 Christian Artists by Myspace.com. Radio & Records named the group's No. 1 single “Undo” its Most Played Song of the Year for the Adult Contemporary (AC) Monitored chart, and the group received the BDS Spin Award for reaching more than 50,000 spins, according to R&R Magazine. In addition, iTunes announced “Undo” as one of the top downloaded songs in the Christian & Gospel category of 2007, while Rush of Fools has become the first new artist to land a debut single at No. 1 since Casting Crowns did so in 2004. The band also secured the R&R AC No. 1 and Christian Radio & Retail Weekly AC No. 1 spots for the song with more than 450 million impressions during 2007. “Undo” was also listed in Mediabase at the AC No. 1 spot. The song “When Our Hearts Sing” rounded out the year as a Top 7 AC hit. Christmas single “O Come All Ye Faithful” climbed to the No. 9 position on the R&R AC Chart with more than 1.8 million impressions, following more than 6,000 free digital downloads in the first three weeks it was offered on various Web sites.
