GRAMMY and Dove Award-winning artist David Phelps is slated to perform on ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition show, scheduled for 8 p.m. EST, Jan. 13.

Phelps will give a benefit concert for the program's cast and crew, and the community of Colorado Springs, Colo., who joined forces to build a new home for a family with a 9-year-old girl born with a rare and incurable disorder.

"When the family contacted me at a concert on tour this last summer, I was immediately captivated by their story," said Phelps, a former member of the Gaither Vocal Band. "Their faith filled me with hope and I prayed that I would have a chance to help in whatever way I could."
