Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated DecembeRadio is to show a slightly softer side with sophomore recording, Satisfied (Slanted Records/Word Distribution), to be released Aug. 26. "There are a few more mid-tempo songs on this CD—I guess that's one of the small differences (from the first album)—but it's the same good ol' DecembeRadio; you're still going to hear guitar solos," said lead guitarist Brian Bunn. "We wrote a lot of the last album not having to play it live. We wrote the songs in the studio and some of them didn't translate," he added. "But we wanted to make sure that these songs would translate well live, that they were fun. And we've been playing about four new songs live. They've been going over great." Despite the acclaim the Blacksburg, Va., group received for its first nationally distributed record last year, DecembeRadio isn't living the MTV Cribs life. Instead, members drive a van and tour 150 days per year, even playing junior high and high school summer camps. "We just wanted to do this and make a living at it and share the message of Christ through our music," Bunn said. "We're definitely just in it to change people's lives," Bunn said.
