THIRD DAY ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR FALL TOUR |

GRAMMY and Dove-Award-winning rock band Third Day has announced its plans for its 44-city Live Wire Tour, which kicks off Sept. 30 in Champaign, Ill. The tour will hit arenas and coliseums in major markets across the country including Chicago; Atlanta; Pittsburgh; New Orleans; Detroit; Jacksonville, Fla.; Knoxville, Tenn.; Oklahoma City; San Antonio; and Colorado Springs, Colo., wrapping up on Dec. 11. Joining Third Day on the road is tobyMac, who will be introducing new music from his forthcoming project, Welcome to Diverse City (ForeFront). New rockers Day of Fire will be special-guest openers during the tour's first half, while the Camas, Wash.-based indie band Hyper Static Union will round out the line-up during the last half of the tour. Continuing its long-term relationship with Third Day, Chevrolet will sponsor the Live Wire Tour. Additional tour partners include World Vision, with a focus on its Hope Child Initiative, and Habitat for Humanity. Third Day will be donating $1 per ticket toward Habitat's foreign and domestic aid, focusing primarily on African areas hit with the AIDS/HIV pandemic.
