Nielsen Music, which operates Nielsen SoundScan, recently announced a long-term extension of its data and information services agreements. Nielsen SoundScan and Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS) will continue to monitor Christian retail stores and radio stations, respectively, to provide retail sales census data and radio airplay.

Nielsen BDS monitors 46 Christian radio stations in North America, while Nielsen SoundScan has 1,285 Christian retailers currently reporting.
