EMI CMG Distribution will ship its annual Give the Gift of Music promotion to retailers this month. The promotion will enable retailers to feature top performing titles at aggressive price points alongside new releases from Steven Curtis Chapman, Jeremy Camp, Relient K, Jump5, Newsboys, Smokie Norful, tobyMac, Chris Tomlin and Wow Hits 2005. For the first time, EMI CMG has included a holiday gift-buying impulse floor display to enhance the holiday promotion. "Holiday sales can account for nearly one-quarter of many retailers' annual sales which is why EMI CMG first began offering promotional tools for the holiday season several years ago," said Greg Bays, vice president of sales of EMI CMG Distribution. "As consumers begin making their Christmas gift-giving lists this year, with intentions of spending more than a year ago, Give the Gift of Music is designed to help retailers capture their share of the increased spending with an engaging floor display and aggressive pricing. And, most importantly, we have a diverse selection of blockbuster titles without equal that will make gift-buying decisions easy for consumers."
