The church-made movie Facing the Giants, featuring director's commentary, behind-the-scenes shots, bloopers and deleted scenes, will be released on DVD Jan. 30.

Made by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., and released in October by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Destination Films, the movie's cast and crew consisted almost entirely of church volunteers.

Facing the Giants, which cost Sherwood Baptist only $100,000 to make, passed $10 million at the box office the week before Christmas. Although the film is still showing in a handful of theaters nationwide, churches can purchase the DVD, along with the required license, to show it to their congregations. More than 900 churches have already signed up.

Despite less-than-stellar reviews, the movie landed at No. 12 in its opening weekend, grossing nearly $1.4 million after debuting on only 441 screens, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
