The makers of Facing the Giants, the church-made movie that took in $10 million in theaters, is releasing a re-mastered DVD version of their first film about a used car salesman whose life reaches a turning point.

Featuring improved color, audio and edited scenes, Flywheel: Director's Cut releases Nov. 13 in the Christian retail channel through Provident-Integrity Distribution and in the general market though Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Made by Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Ga., with an all-volunteer cast and $100,000 budget, Facing the Giants capitalized on a wave of media attention last fall when the Motion Picture Association of America gave its first PG rating to the football-themed drama for what it originally termed "proselytizing."

Previously self-distributed by Sherwood Pictures, Flywheel has already sold 85,000 DVDs, according to Sherwood Baptist officials. Flywheel: Director's Cut will feature director's commentary, a teaser for Sherwood's next feature film, French and Spanish subtitles and bloopers.
