A highly acclaimed movie with a pro-life message arrives at Christian retail May 6 with strong support from well-known Christian leaders. Distributed by Thomas Nelson Publishers in an ongoing partnership with Lionsgate, Bella tells the story of former international soccer star José whose career is ended in a fatal car accident. Now working as a chef, in a restaurant, José befriends a pregnant waitress. Pastor Rick Warren, author of The Purpose-Driven Life, called it "the best movie of the year," while Focus on the Family's James Dobson said Bella was "a moving and inspirational movie" that "speaks eloquently of life, love and beauty." The DVD features more than 50 minutes of special footage, including a behind-the-scenes featurette, commentary and a featurette on the film's journey of distribution. The film's executive producer was Stephen McEveety, who also produced The Passion of The Christ and Braveheart. Read more in the May 5 issue of Christian Retailing. |
