Director Gary Wheeler, whose adaptation of Robert Whitlow's novel The List was released in 2008 from Fox Faith (Word Distribution), was recently honored with two awards by International Christian Visual Media (ICVM). The List was awarded in the categories of Best Drama over $250,000 and Best Screenplay.

ICVM presents awards each year to films that carry faith-based messages and was created to "recognize excellence in production and content of films and videos that are created to reflect Christian values in a secular world."

"We were thrilled and honored to receive this award," Wheeler said. "It represents the blood, sweat and tears of a lot of people, and I accepted the award on their behalf."

Another of Whitlow's novels, The Trial, is scheduled to start film production in 2009 and also will be directed by Wheeler.
