GMA's Special Awards were given during the Monday morning business meeting in several categories to recognize those who have spread Christian music throughout the world. Brad Stine was the recipient of the Grady Nutt Humor Award. In the radio awards, David Stephens of KXOJ-FM in Tulsa, Okla., won the Rob Gregory Award for making a positive difference in the local community. John Frost of the Audience Development Group picked up the Scott Campbell Award for contributing to the growth of Christian radio. The Impact Award was given to ProTools software by DigiDesign; the International Award was picked up by Integrity artist Robin Mark of Belfast, Ireland. Finally, the Mainstream Contribution to Gospel Music Award was presented to R&R magazine for its addition of Christian music news coverage and the Christian music charts. "We are so humbled and so delighted to be here today," said R&R CEO and Publisher Erica Farber. "We promise to grow our charts and grow Christian music as much as we can." Farber profiled Styll in the April 23 issue of R&R, and the magazine's Christian AC chart will convert to a new monitored format May 14.
