CBA is considering scrapping many of its existing programs to create a leaner, meaner trade association better able to serve its members. Up to 30 existing programs will be evaluated and done away with or retooled as part of what President Bill Anderson told a press conference was "a dramatic shift" planned for the organization. Meanwhile, CBA will continue to push recent innovations that have included a television advertising campaign, new retailer software programs and training, and supply-chain management initiatives. Anderson introduced a new mission statement for the group, which says it is now "committed to growing a healthy and successful Christian retail channel by equipping our members with highly valued business solutions."
