ZAPiT Games has added a VeggieTales-based game title to its family-friendly Game Wave system library. Veg-Out! Family Tournament, featuring popular VeggieTales characters in a series of memory puzzles and games, retails for $27.99. Christian retailers "have been looking forward to offering a game that is designed to bring families together," said John Whitaker, vice president for Anchor Distributors, which distributes the Game Wave. The game "promotes good family values and it is a great way to spend time together," he said. The Game Wave system is a proprietary DVD-based console that connects to a television. Players use wireless remote units to compete in different levels of play. All titles use "non-violent, family friendly content and images," the Toronto-based company said. Veg-Out! Family Tournament also includes "cleverly scripted life lessons and values-centered messages ... as well as original music videos and wacky video clips." |
