Zondervan is releasing the newly revised NIV Couple’s Devotional Bible this month. The Bible features the complete text of the New International Version, a new cover design and 260 new weekday devotions centering on issues couples face today. Authors include Lauren Winner, Jennifer Schuchmann, Wayne Brouwer and Carla Barnhill. Weekend devotions are also included with advice from Les and Leslie Parrott, Gary Thomas, Bill and Lynne Hybels and Gary Smalley. Topics include communication, work and career, sex, setting goals, step-parenting, money, fears, worship and forgiveness. The hardcover edition retails for $29.99, and a chocolate/silver Italian DuoTone is priced at $46.99. Thomas Nelson releases The American Patriot’s Bible: The Word of God and the Shaping of America on May 5. Centering on the role of faith in American history, the NKJV Bible includes notations of every known Bible verse on which American presidents rested their hands during their swearing-in ceremonies. It also includes special pages dedicated to little-known facts about historic events—such as Buzz Aldrin’s celebration of communion upon landing on the moon—and information on Christian influences on the capital’s famous monuments. The Bible will release in hardcover for $39.99 and in a blue bonded leather edition with flag stamping for $59.99. A loose-leaf edition of the English Standard Version Bible will release this month from Hendrickson Publishers. The ESV Loose-Leaf Bible With Binder is geared toward students and note-takers, and features 8.5-by-11-inch, five-hole punched pages with Bible text and blank pages that can also fit in three-ring binders, along with a sturdy 11-by-11.5-inch five-ring binder, a concordance and center-column references. The Bible retails for $79.95. The Bible is also available without a binder. Note-takers will also be interested in this month’s release of the NIV Noteworthy Collection Bible and the TNIV Noteworthy Collection Bible, the latest in Zondervan’s line of note-taker Bibles and the first to include the complete text of the Old and New Testaments. Like other Noteworthy releases, the Bibles feature blank right-hand pages for note-taking, an accordion inside pocket for loose notes and an elastic band for closure. Each of the Bibles will release in black bonded leather for $34.99. |
