Worthy Publishing hires industry veteran as vice president of sales |

Worthy Publishing announced the addition of industry veteran Julie Jayne to the executive team in her new role as vice president of sales. Jayne will oversee new account development and the sales force for ABA stores, independent retailers and the gift market. Jayne joins the Worthy executive team with more than 27 years in publishing sales, marketing and acquisitions. Jayne, who was named Barnes & Noble’s Mid-Size Representative of the Year in 2011, is a graduate of New York University’s School of Professional Studies Center for Publishing. Most recently she was director of backlist development at HarperCollins Christian Publishing, after transitioning from her role as director of digital sales. She has also held positions at Abingdon Press, Ingram Book Company and Thomas Nelson. She has worked with an array of retailers including Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Amazon, Borders, Baker & Taylor, Sam’s Club, Target, Readerlink, iBooks and Google. “We are thrilled to have secured such a talented and experienced leader for our expanding sales team here at Worthy,” said Byron Williamson, president and publisher of Worthy. |
