David Gunn has joined Regular Baptist Press (RBP) as its new editorial director of publications. Gunn’s responsibilities include overseeing development for non-curriculum products, including the Baptist Bulletin, books, Bible studies and Vacation Bible School. “For nearly a century the GARBC (General Association of Regular Baptist Churches) and its publishing arm, RBP, have played a vital role in equipping, strengthening and mobilizing the Regular Baptist sector of American Christianity,” Gunn said. “I count it a blessing and an honor to participate in this great work that God has established for our good and His glory.” Gunn comes to RBP with experience as an educator, as well as having served as minister of music and worship leader in churches. He has a B.A. in Bible and theology from Shasta Bible College, an M.Div. from Corban University School of Ministry and a Th.M. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and is finishing work on a Ph.D. in systematic theology from Baptist Bible Seminary. He was ordained to the ministry by Grace Baptist Church in Redding, California, in 2011. “David is a great addition to the staff,” said Alex Bauman, director of Regular Baptist Press. “His experience and education bring a fresh perspective to RBP while ensuring our commitment to produce biblically sound materials.” As the publishing ministry of GARBC, Regular Baptist Press offers a wide range of curriculum, VBS programs, Bible studies, books and training seminars. |
