Family Christian Stores announced Tuesday that Dan Hubka is being promoted internally from media strategic business unit team leader to vice president of merchandise, effective immediately. “Dan has a wonderful 20-year history with Family Christian that began in the field as a store manager,” said Chuck Bengochea, CEO of the nonprofit chain of stores. “Dan brings the balance of internal knowledge and creative thinking that we are looking for to drive our merchandising strategies of the future.” At Family Christian Stores, Hubka also worked as an intern, a sales associate, store manager, marketing coordinator, merchandise manager, buyer, senior buyer and, most recently, a strategic business unit team leader. “I have fallen in love with Christian retail,” Hubka said. “I have a heart for the people who come through our doors and find us online. The product we provide can and does change lives—I’ve seen it, I’ve lived it—I’m still living it. Family Christian has so much potential, and it is a privilege for me to be part of this team. I believe that I can help lead this team in the right direction, a direction that ensures we surprise and delight our customers.” Bengochea thinks that Hubka’s insights will lead to an even better customer experience at Family. “Our goal at Family Christian has been to infuse the organization with the best skill set to drive change, enhance new ideas across our product categories and set in motion buying strategies that will dramatically improve the customer shopping experience,” Bengochea said. |
