Nelson Books, a nonfiction imprint of Thomas Nelson, has announced the hiring of Jessica Wong as senior acquisitions editor. Effective Nov. 24, Wong will become the newest member of the Nelson Books team, filling the role previously held by Joel Miller. Wong comes to the imprint with more than seven years of publishing experience. She began her career at Thomas Nelson, and in 2009, she joined the editorial team at Howard Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. “Jessica is a sharp editor with great publishing instincts that will strengthen our team’s ability to acquire and develop quality nonfiction book projects,” said Senior Vice President and Publisher Brian Hampton. “I am very excited to have her join Nelson Books.” Wong’s editorial resume includes New York Times best-sellers An Invisible Thread and Waking Up in Heaven. She is a summa cum laude graduate in English linguistics from Arizona State University, as well as an alumnus of the Yale Publishing Course. |
