Christopher Ferebee announced Monday the expansion of his literary agency, The Christopher Ferebee Agency, with the addition of publishing veterans Angela Scheff and Jana Burson. Scheff and Burson’s hiring represents the first expansion for the agency. Ferebee, who founded the agency in 2011, commented on Scheff and Burson’s hiring. “Angela and Jana are both industry veterans who have proven themselves to be incredibly effective working with great content over the years,” Ferebee said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to have them join the team. “In late 2011, I moved from working with a larger team to going solo and have enjoyed a lot of flexibility working on my own. But there are a lot of great opportunities I simply don’t have the bandwidth to pursue on my own. I’m eager to see what the future holds for our authors and this team.” Scheff spent 10 years working as an editor and then associate publisher at Zondervan. She also spent five years as a freelancer, working with a variety of Christian publishers, editors and authors. Scheff brings more than 16 years of experience in the publishing industry to The Christopher Ferebee Agency. “I’m thrilled to join The Christopher Ferebee Agency to continue helping authors bring their voice, passion, and expertise to their readers,” said Scheff. Burson has more than 12 years of experience in the publishing industry. Her career began in publicity at Thomas Nelson; within two years, she was named director of publicity for the Nashville division of Hachette Book Group. In 2010, Jana transitioned to acquisitions editor at Hachette, where she acquired and edited books by multiple best-selling authors. In 2014, Jana launched The Burson Agency. “I am excited to continue representing inspiring and life-changing books from men and women that want to impact culture one heart at a time. I look forward to working alongside Christopher and Angela,” said Burson. |
